Big changes for Fall in 2016

As Halloween came and went this year without carving pumpkins, going to an apple orchard with my family or helping at all with my kids' costumes, I realized that I need to make some major changes in 2016.
I have sat behind the lens for 98 sessions between September and October.  98 SESSIONS!!!!  Yep, I am completely nuts!  I truly was trying to fit as many people in as I could for my clients.  I didn't want to have to turn anyone away and I didn't want to upset anyone.  I even had such loyal clients that I had over 20 families on a wait list.  I was able to accommodate some but not all and I, of course, feel bad about that too.
So here I sit and edit, at 11pm and still hours away from being able to sleep, I am thinking about my clients.  You all rock and are always so patient waiting for your images but I don't feel like I am giving you the customer service that you all deserve because I have just overbooked myself this season.  It is just too much to work sunrise to sunset every Saturday and Sunday.  It doesn't leave me time with my family and it doesn't give me time to edit.

So here is my plan:
Next year, I am only going to be working one day each weekend.  Yep, that's it.  I have told my family and now I'm telling you so I am going to stick to it!   I am going to enjoy some days with my family doing the classic Fall activities that I am capturing for my clients.   Time goes so fast and I'm missing out on too many memories.
I will still be able to fit in a lot of sessions but there won't be anywhere near as many as this year.

So as you look ahead to 2016, maybe consider booking your family pictures at a different time of year.  This way you won't be so stressed trying to get a session and also you will have flexibility with time and location.   I highly suggest summer!   Nothing beats a summer sunset session with wild flowers.

If you want to try something different next year, contact me to discuss your options.

I cannot say enough how much you all mean to me!   I thank you all for your support!

Now bring on the Christmas sessions!!!
